how it works
There are two main categories - Business Specialist and IT Specialist, with Gold, Silver and Bronze prizes for each of them. An overall winner will win the SharePoint Specialist of the Year Award.
We are not just going to take your word for it. All nominees will go through a strict and indepth screening process and background check to see if what you say is really true. We will check with your colleagues and bosses; stalk you online and visit you at work, (or call you if you're too far away), ask you all kinds of awkward questions that you thought you knew, and ask you to submit supporting documentation.
Our panel of judges will discuss each nominee and shortlist the potential winners. All shortlisted candidates will be invited to the gala dinner on 20 October 2016 where the winners will be announced. The event takes place in Johannesburg and shortlisted candidates will be flown in from the regions if necessary. The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered to.
In the meantime, think about why you deserve this award, then head for the nomination section. Entries are closed for 2016, and re-open on 16 January for the 2017 event. This will be an annual award and we'll add and remove categories as the event matures.
WHO CAN ENTER?
